Hi, I am Arun. I am an incoming (post-doctoral) Hill Assistant Professor at Rutgers University where I will be working with Dr. Facundo Mémoli. My primary research interests lie broadly in the intersection of algebraic inverse problems, metric geometry and the mathematics of data science. I am also interested in applied data science, machine learning and mathematical modeling for epidemiology.
I cohost the Rutgers math and data seminar.
I obtained my doctorate in mathematics from the University of Missouri where I worked under the advisement of Dr. Dan Edidin. My doctoral work is centered around utilizing results from algebraic geometry and representation theory to approach inverse problems arising in data science and computational imaging. Before this, I was fortunate to have been identified and advised by Dr. Florian Enescu at Georgia State University, where I studied commutative algebra whilst obtaining my dual B.S. + M.S.
